Zach Morgan
Focusing on experiential design anchored in the tangible, my work lives at the intersection of architecture, narrative storytelling, and interactive design ā both digital and kinetic. My multicultural background helps to inform my design approach and deepens my ability to empathize with the human at the end of design chain, whatever the medium or scale.
I studied Architecture at California Polytechnic University-Pomona. I worked for years outside of the themed entertainment industry on airports, single and multi-family residential, commercial office space, and more. After about 4 years, I decided to make my way over to Disney Imagineering where I worked for 4 years, gaining immense experience in many different types of creative development and production. After this time with Imagineering, I left California to work for 4 years with Universal Creative developing parks and resorts globally as a Concept Architect, Attraction Designer, and Senior Show Set Design Lead. After the better part of a decade in the theme park industry, I now work for frog design helping to build amazing customer experiences and grow businesses through a human-centered approach to research and design.
Outside of work, I am in love with fabrication. From woodwork to metal work, 3D printing, and laser cutting. In 2014, I co-founded a fabrication lab out of the Arts District of Los Angeles. Some of that work can be seen on this site. Other than fabrication I love to play soccer and Iām addicted to traveling and hiking.
