Formal Exploration

These are explorations of form around a node-as-path model assuming the city is a ‘node’ and the ‘path’ is a road. Probably not too practical from a functional standpoint, but interesting formally in the modular, interwoven forms. What happens when we stretch the node along the path? We create an alternate option to city planning-not an instead of option. There are already existing ‘paths’ in place throughout the topography of America in highways and rail roads. These existing infrastructural elements are the connectors between cities or nodes which would serve as the foundation for the Transit City, a city designed completely around transportation.
